San Antonio Regional Hospital Heart Center is known for its exceptional cardiovascular services and continually ranks among the nation's top hospitals for cardiac care and cardiovascular surgery. The hospital holds a Chest Pain Center Accreditation with Primary PCI from The American College of Cardiology, which was awarded after a rigorous onsite evaluation determined the hospital’s exceptional competency in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients who may be experiencing a heart attack.

San Antonio is also designated as a STEMI Receiving Center by the Inland County Emergency Medical Agency (ICEMA), based on the experience and expertise of our medical team and the advanced technology and processes in place to rapidly handle heart attack patients.

San Antonio Regional Hospital received the 2024 Women's Choice Award® as one of America's Best Hospitals for Heart Care, based on robust criteria that consider clinical excellence and female patient satisfaction, placing it in the top 2% of 4,729 U.S. hospitals offering heart care services.
