Parent Education Classes
Start Your Pregnancy with a Healthy Beginning!
Come join us for parent education classes! Our classes include prepared childbirth, breastfeeding, and infant care classes. If your family is expecting, then our program of classes will be the unexpected help that gets you on the right path!
As COVID-19 restrictions begin to ease, we are offering classes both in-person and through distance learning.
Registration fees vary by class
Once you have registered and paid for your class(es), you will be emailed a link to attend.
Pre-registration is required for all classes.
Prepared Childbirth - Ready, Set, Push!
Four week session. This class introduces expectant parents to techniques/comfort measures for labor pain. Topics covered include: relaxation, breathing techniques, discussion on anesthesia/analgesia, review of birth options, and cesarean birth. Fathers/support persons will learn how to support the mother effectively while she is in labor. Classes fill up quickly. Call during your fifth month to enroll.

Cesarean Birth Class
This class joins our prepared childbirth couples on the last night of class for information on cesarean section deliveries. Hospital procedures and postpartum comfort measures will be covered.

This class is designed to provide encouragement and instruction to promote successful breastfeeding. Fathers/support persons are also invited to attend.

Infant Care Classes
This class is designed to educate parents on what to expect from their new baby. Physical care such as bathing, diapering, and cord and circumcision care are covered.

Infant CPR / First Aid
The American Heart Association (AHA) offers guidelines for Friends & Family CPR classes taught by certified AHA instructors.
