Quality Measures and Outcomes

San Antonio Regional Hospital’s Cancer Program is accredited by the Commission on Cancer. Each year, the cancer committee develops and disseminates a report of patient or program outcomes to the public. These reports are in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the National Quality Forum, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the National Comprehensive Cancer Network. The intent is to monitor patterns and trends of cancer care in order to guide changes in medical practices (where appropriate) and, ultimately, improve patient care.
