WOMEN'S CHOICE AWARDS^® FOR HEART

San Antonio Regional Hospital has been recognized with the 2022 Women's Choice Award^® as one of America's Best Hospitals for Heart Care. These evidence-based designations are the only awards that identify the country's best healthcare institutions based on robust criteria that consider both clinical excellence and female patient satisfaction.

The Women's Choice Award^® for Heart Care signifies that San Antonio Regional Hospital is in the top 2% of 4,728 U.S. hospitals offering heart care services. San Antonio performed well clinically with regard to heart care measures but also had a high recommendation rate, which women have identified as a very important indicator when selecting a hospital. Recognized hospitals must offer at least six of the following services: cardiac catheterization laboratory, cardiac rehabilitation, cardiac surgery, carotid stenting, coronary interventions, electrophysiology, vascular interventions, vascular surgery, and coronary intensive care (CCU).
