Pink and Go Seek - Making the Drive for Breast Cancer
On Saturday, October 9th, San Antonio Regional Hospital hosted the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer “Pink and Go Seek” event in the parking lot of the Scheu Family Building. Nearly 70 cancer survivors and their friends and family participated in the drive-thru scavenger hunt that launched from our location.
Participants entered the event through a balloon arch where they were greeted by volunteers and ballerinas. Throughout the multiple stops strategically positioned in the parking lot, participants were greeted by volunteer vendors that included Crumbl Cookie, LuLaRoe, Pepo Melo, Chick-Fil-A, Mary Kay, KTLA, IEHP, City of Hope, San Antonio Hospital Foundation, and of course, our own San Antonio Care Team members and volunteers.
Participants were entertained by the Inland Pacific Ballet Troupe. In addition to cancer awareness education and culinary treats, each participant received a tote filled with useful items, including a San Antonio face mask embellished with a pink logo in honor of breast cancer awareness month.
