Devoted Area Physician and Husband Donate $1 Million Gift to San Antonio Hospital Foundation
"It is time to pay back to the community, and San Antonio is the best way to do it,"
Upland, CA, APRIL 7, 2022 – Daksha Jain, MD and her husband, Mr. Sudhir Kapadia, recently made a charitable donation of $1 million dollars to San Antonio Hospital Foundation. On March 11, San Antonio’s iconic fountain, located at the hospital’s main entrance, was dedicated in honor of Dr. Jain and Mr. Kapadia's generous gift. A naming plaque acknowledging their donation was unveiled. The couple have been involved in the local community for 35 years, and Dr. Jain has been a member of San Antonio Regional Hospital’s medical staff for more than 33 years. Dr. Jain also operates a solo pediatric practice in the area. Originally from India, Dr. Jain attended medical school in her home country in 1976. Mr. Kapadia holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering and worked for a number of years in telecommunications with Texaco/Chevron Oil Company.
Over the years, Dr. Jain has felt so much support from the San Antonio Care Team and administration, and expressed how much it means to her. "It is time to pay back to the community, and San Antonio is the best way to do it," Dr. Jain remarked. "We are so grateful that Dr. Jain and Mr. Kapadia chose San Antonio for their charitable gift," stated Michelle Stoddard, Foundation President. "The funds will be used to support programs, services, and upcoming capital needs of San Antonio Regional Hospital. Our patients will benefit greatly from their gift."
